Paint it Red is a video game I am making to express my own fears with regards to ableism against autistic people - being autistic myself - as well as to explore some of my past (having been insitutionalized). It's pretty personal for me, but feels somewhat important and I want to finish it, even if it's not very big/ ambitious in scope.
Ths is the game I am currently working on. I've coded the player and enemies, saving system, and some of the GUI. I still need to do more GUI and level design, then I will release a beta.
I did a webcomic, under a different user name. It was called the IronRealm. I've been drawing for a while, but I first started a webcomic after years of art practice. The art in it wasn't professional by any means, but it was better than I'd done in the past, and it kept me drawing consistently for a while. I started the comic in late 2014 and it officially went on hiatus after summer 2017. I think for a first attempt from a novice, I did okay on it. It went past 100 pages, but was simply a too ambitious project for me at the time. While I could continue the comic, I have decided against that. The writing I had made sense for me at the time, but there is quite a bit I would do differently today, both with regards to characters and character dynamics, and worldbuilding.
(for the very curious, you can find it here, though it still has some glaring flaws.)
